1.4878 is comparable to material 1.4541.
Exhibits good corrosion resistance in natural environmental media (water rural and industrial atmospheres).
The prerequisite is that chlorine and salt concentrations and concentration of nitric or organic acids are low.

1.4878 is popularly known as AISI 321H​​​​​​​.
 

In apparatus commonly used for parts with high mechanical stresses. For parts in furnace: annealing furnaces, muffle furnaces, hardening boxes.

Scaling resistance of components up to 850°C. To oxidizing and reducing sulfurous gases the resistance is low!

Advantages of saw cut

The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.
