AISI 304 | 1.4301 (X5CrNi18-10) directly from stock & cut to your required dimensions!
AISI 304 | 1.4301 is the standard material of austenitic chromium-nickel steels. Good corrosion resistance in natural environmental media. Not suitable for use in chlorine and salt concentrations. Risk of intergranular corrosion at high temperatures, for example during welding.
The materials 1.4307 and 1.4541 have comparable chemical composition and properties.
Materials in a higher nickel-alloyed version are recommended with continually increasing demands on formability. Our material 1.4303 supplies an alternative offer.
Main applications: automotive industry, construction industry, chemical industry, food industry, petroleum industry.
Weldability: excellent
Machinability: 10 (1 = very bad - 10 = good)
Polishability: yes, highly polishable
Corrosion class: 3 (0 = weak - 5 = good)

The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.
Thus, the machined workpiece has a homogeneous structure even at the edge, which does not change in the continuation of the material.
This circumstance allows immediate finishing of the workpiece with milling or drilling . So it is not necessary to anneal the material or make a similar operation beforehand.
