The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.

Thus, the machined workpiece has a homogeneous structure even at the edge, which does not change in the continuation of the material.
This circumstance allows immediate finishing of the workpiece with milling or drilling . So it is not necessary to anneal the material or make a similar operation beforehand.

Frequently asked questions about material 1.4429:

It is an austenitic, acid-resistant and stainless steel that, thanks to the addition of nitrogen (N), offers higher strength with equal or improved corrosion resistance compared to the conventional 1.4404 (AISI 316L).

It offers excellent corrosion resistance (particularly against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing media such as seawater or chemical solutions) and, thanks to its nitrogen content, has higher mechanical strength than conventional austenitic stainless steels.

It is primarily used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, shipbuilding and offshore construction, medical engineering, and for components exposed to aggressive media and requiring high mechanical strength.
