The unalloyed and universal quality steel 1.0570 is the generalist of all structural steels and is suitable for components of all kinds. Due to its general use, this material can even be found on two lines in the standard dictionary of steel “Key to Steel” (edition 2019): it is known as S355J2 G3, as St52-3N, as S325 G or simply under the designation St-52.
The structural steel 1.0570 can be machined and welded very well, because its carbon content is below the 0,20 % limit, which is decisive for welding.
