1.2767 ESU (45NiCrMo16 | X45NiCrMo4) directly from stock & cut to your required dimensions.
The nickel-alloyed cold work steel 1.2767 ESU has an improved material property due to the electroslag remelting (ESR) process. The ESU guide is used when better material purity, particularly high tensile strength and compressive strength is required. The material 1.2767 ESU (45NiCrMo16) has a high toughness (nickel content), very good through hardenability as well as a high impact resistance and pressure resistance. Working hardness 52-55 HRC. Good polishable and erodible.
The tool steel 1.2767 is suitable for the following application areas: cutlery punching, stamping tools, solid stamping dies and punches, bending tools, pressure bars on press brakes, shear blades for thick cutting material, plastic molds and reinforcements.
annealed max. 262 HB
Machinability: 4 (1 = very bad - 10 = good)
Flat, forged, annealed
The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.
Thus, the machined workpiece has a homogeneous structure even at the edge, which does not change in the continuation of the material.
This circumstance allows immediate finishing of the workpiece with milling or drilling . So it is not necessary to anneal the material or make a similar operation beforehand.
