1.0460 (P250GH) directly from stock & cut to your required dimensions!
Stainless steel 1.4021 is a rust-resistant, martensitic chromium steel containing 12–14% chromium, which provides solid corrosion resistance. This property can be further improved through surface treatments such as grinding or polishing.
The material is well-suited for use in moderately aggressive, chloride-free environments, such as organic acids, solvents, or soap-based solutions.
Typical applications for 1.4021 include:
Mechanical engineering
Hydraulic systems
Oil and petrochemical industries
Material classification: AISI 420 / 1.4021
Temperature resistant up to approx. 400 °C
Good weldability
Strength: ≥ 250 MPa
The material 1.0460 – P250GH offers good weldability. No special heat treatment is required.

The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.
Thus, the machined workpiece has a homogeneous structure even at the edge, which does not change in the continuation of the material.
This circumstance allows immediate finishing of the workpiece with milling or drilling . So it is not necessary to anneal the material or make a similar operation beforehand.
