Forging1.8509 is slowly cooled after hot forming at 1100°C–850°C. 
Welding41CrAlMo7-10 is not used in welded structures because it is very difficult to weld.

HardeningSuitable for nitriding at 500-520°C, highest surface hardness attainable at thicknesses of 80-100 mm
Tempering 880-920°C with quenching in oil
